To save the Princess from Rugnor, the Prince must use a variety of weapons at his disposal.

PC[]

Hand Weapons[]

  • Sword: The Prince took the sword from a guard he killed in Assan's prison. It is his weapon of choice, and the 1st one you get. It has medium damage, speed, and range.
  • Dual Blades: These are a pair of deadly assassin's blades found by the Prince in Palace 3 level. They have high speed, medium damage, and low range.
  • Staff: The staff is found on the upper dirigible, when you lose your other weapons. It has high damage, high range, and low speed.

Ranged Weapons[]

  • Bow and Arrow: The Prince took the bow from a guard in Assan's Ivory Tower. During his quest, he found arrows with different powers to load his bow with. They include:
    • Standard Arrow: Not flashy or powerful, but it's more plentiful than the specialty arrows. Each hit on an enemy will drain one life bottle.
    • Call of the Swarm (Swarm Arrow): Shooting this arrow will release a swarm of wasps upon the nearest person. If that's you then watch out. Arrow itself hits for one life bottle, but the wasps can hit the enemy for up to three more. Very useful.
    • Atar's Fiery Messenger (Fire Arrow): An arrow encased in a blue flame. Does two life bottles damage, and has a special use later on in the game.
    • Arrow of Freeze (Ice Arrow): This arrow freezes your enemy in his tracks, putting him out of the fight until the spring thaw, and reputedly freezes any liquid it comes in contact with.
    • Snare of the Unwary Soul (Possession Arrow): This arrow, if it strikes an individual, will allow the shooter to possess the body of that individual. It has a special use at one point in the game.
    • Ahura's Fury (Explosion Arrow): This arrow creates a small explosion when it strikes.
    • Arrow of the Thief (Lifestealing Arrow): Particularly useful if you're low on health and there are no potions around. This arrow will not only decrease the enemy's health by one bottle, but it will increase the Prince's health by one bottle.
    • Arrow of Despair (Death Arrow): This arrow is quite simple. Shoot an enemy with it, and they die immediately.
    • Mazarad's Mezmerizing Lights (Charm Arrow): This arrow creates a swirl of dancing lights, which distract and confuse enemies in the vicinity of the target. Victims of this enchantment are rarely aware of anything else, if they are left to watch the lights undisturbed.

Dreamcast[]

Hand Weapons[]

  • Scimitar: A standard issue sword used primarily by lower level guards. Can be found in the Prison level.
  • Hand of Malak[1] (Shield Sword): The gentle name given to a potent weapon. It is named for the peacock god whose tears defeated demons, but it is your opponents who will cry should you find this treasure. When it is used, a sort of magical shield is spun about the wielder, protecting him from all arrows and bolts, and even sometimes deflecting the blades of his attackers. The effect is said to be as if invisible wings sheltered the swordsman.
When drawn grants invulnerability to projectile weapons and deflects some weapon strikes. Can be found in the Cistern level.
  • Blade of Caracas[2] (Flame Sword): Forged by the alchemical smith, it is named for in the heat of a dragon's fire. This mighty sword has that fire imbued in its very metals. With each cut and slash, flames leap out, searing whatever they touch and wreaking grievous harm to the enemy.
This sword will inflict severe fire damage upon your enemies. Can be found in the Place 3 level.
  • Reaper's Sickle[1] (Death Sword): Despite the name, the weapon is a finely crafted scimitar, but it brings death just as surely. The slightest scratch from this blade is said to bring nearly instant demise, but such powerful magics can only be used a few times before they are expended. Perhaps this weapon no longer even exists...
A hit instantly kills an opponent but the weapon has a limited number of uses. Can be found in the Streets And Docks level.
  • Glacier's Axe[1] (Ice Axe): The axe is a mighty, double-bladed axe that sends the chill of the snow-capped mountains into anything it touches. This paralyzes your foes for a few moments, allowing a quick thinking attacker to strike while they are vulnerable.
Freezing cold momentarily slows opponents when hit allowing the user to land multiple attacks. Can be found in the Cliffs level.

Ranged Weapons[]

  • Bow: Fires various arrow types. Can be found in the Ivory Tower level.
    • Arrow: A standard arrow.
    • Vampire's Kiss[3] (Health Stealing Arrow): This arrow is a rather sinister bolt, the arrowhead reputedly made from the fang of that undead monster. When the arrow strikes, the life essence of its victim is said to be magically transferred to the archer who unleashes it.
This arrow steals health from an opponent.
    • Jurin's Messenger[3] (Death Arrow): Death's icy fingers mark anyone wounded with this arrow. This fell type of arrow has never been known to leave a victim alive, once the archer manages to find the target.
A very rare arrow which can kill most opponents instantly.
    • Atar's Retribution[3] (Exploding Arrow): This is the name given to the most common type of artificed arrow, one which has been imbued by its maker with a shard of holy fire. Magical flames explode upon impact, severely injuring anyone struck by this arrow. These arrows have also been known to melt huge blocks of ice.
Exploding arrows, inflict greater damage than a standard arrow. Can be found in the Cliffs level.
