Tiger (or Sand Tigers) are an unused animal enemy cut from Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time.
Biography[]
Tigers were brought from India as a gift for the Sultan of Azad. Like every other creature, the tigers are not immune to the Sands of Time and were turned into Sand Creatures.[1]
Gameplay[]
The Tigers were initially implemented in the game, in a making of video they can be seen walking around[1], and one was shown in the E3 2003 trailer[2]. The tigers were however cut from the final game because the proper AI for a four-legged creatures could not be implemented on time for game's release[3].
Trivia[]
The Tigers can still be seen in a cutscene, and the growls of tigers can still be heard in the final game although the tigers themselves are all removed from the game[4].
