- "These lumbering beasts sport an enormous sledgehammer that is used to knock the Prince off his feet. They rely on the weapon's lengthy shaft to block many the Prince's attacks, including wall rebound attacks. And if that doesn't make it tough enough, this beast is powerful enough to make an attempted black useless. The good news is that the Prince can evade these creatures' attacks with relative ease and, as a result, these Sand Creatures many actually swing their sledgehammers into one another."

Biography[]
Believed to be the Blacksmith's within the Azad palace, the Sand Blacksmiths are first encountered a small group congregating near the Prince and Farah's next exit inside a warehouse with Red Sand Guards.
The Blacksmiths, transformed by the Sands of Time, attack the Prince on sight, but are slow enough for the Prince to evade. Even among other enemies Sand Blacksmiths can be easily dispatched, but remain dangerous in large enough numbers.

Sand Blacksmiths carry a large hammer weapon that can deal considerable damage to the Prince if the player is hit any time during combat. Sand Blacksmiths are one of two enemies that can break through the Prince's guard and use their weapon to hit his leg. The other guard-breaking enemies are the Sand Generals, who use sweeping attacks to knock the Prince off his feet.
To beat Sand Blacksmiths during combat with multiple enemies, it's best to evade their swinging strikes. Sand Blacksmiths movie slow enough that remaining out of range is simple, unless the player is being flanked other Sand Creatures. One of the best methods to take a Sand Blacksmith down is to vault over them and strike their backs. Sand Blacksmiths are invulnerable to wall rebound attacks.
