Biography[]

Before the Sandstorm[]

Roham is originally from a mountain village Bash. Roham left the village and joined the army of Sharaman.[1]

While sailing to Yemen to assist the ruler there against attacks from the Arabs, the ship Roham was on was caught in a storm created by Ahriman. Roham managed to keep himself afloat on a blank, and reached an island. He approached the villagers and offered to work for a meal. The villagers were not polite, and told him to leave. He soon realized they were only trying to protect him, when soldiers arrived and captured him. Roham was taken to King Zahak's palace and thrown into prison. There were other survivors from his ship, two he recognized: Farhad, and Arash. They told him there were more survivors, but each night two men are taken and fed to Zahak. Roham did not like that other has just waited their fate without doing anything and plotted to escape. He had Arash tie his hands with a frayed rope, hoping the guard think that other has bond him and would not bother checking. His gable payed off, and when he and Arash was escorted out of the prison, he sprung into action and killed several guards. Arash was not so lucky and was stabbed with a sword, he told Roham to leave him and escape, which he did.[1]

Roham took the guards armor, to blend in and left the palace. He was tired and hungry when he saw a bird. He threw a rock at it and managed to hit it. When he reached the bird that fell into a ravine, he saw it being cooked already by two men. Roham threatened them and asked them to leave, as he was the one who had caught the bird. The younger man proposed a test of skill in fighting if Roham would win he get the whole bird, otherwise they share it. Roham almost won, but got distracted when his opponent's name was shouted by the other man. It was Prince Dastan he was fighting. Roham fell to his knees and asked for forgiveness. Dastan asked Roham to catch another bird so they all could eat well. While eating they talked like equals, and Roham found Dastan to be very down to earth man. Roham told Dastan and Bis what had happened. Dastan wanted to avenge their men, and disguised himself as a guard to deliver Roham and Bis to Zahak. When they were taken to the palace, Roham again took action and attacked the guards, while Dastan confronted the demonic king and managed to hack off the snake heads and then kill Zahak. They were seen as heroes, but Dastan refused any gift offered except a boat, so they could continue their travel to Yemen. When they reached Yemen however the battle there was over.[1]

Three years later Roham returned to his home village of Bash, and told stories of his adventures to children.[1]

The Sands of Time[]

Roham is still friends with Dastan and Bis, and accompanies them on the attack on Alamut. They spar during the siege, where Bis bets on the winner. The spectacle is interrupted by a warrior who seeks Dastan for the war council.[2] Roham also Helps Dastan invade Alamut in the night, so the Persian army could get in easier.[3] Roham is later seen celebrating with his friends in the street, and later accompanies Dastan to the royal feast where he is charged on looking after Tamina for a while.[2]
