Persia is the main setting in Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time
History[]
From 550BC to 640AD Persian Empire stretched from Mediterranean Sea to China. Persia became the center of the world between East and West thanks to the Silk Road which ran through Persia. Nasaf, the capital of Persia is also located on the Silk Road.[2]
Around 580AD King Sharaman has ruled Persia for 40 years[3] While other rulers have employed Hassansins, King sharaman stopped that practice and outlawed the cult.[4]
Persia has been engaged in war with the Koshkhan for years.[2] The sons of Sharaman were sent to subdue the Koshkhan. But due to the manipulation of Nizam, Tus leads Persian troops to Alamut and overtakes the city. Under the guise of searching the weapon forges Nizam searches a way to the Sandglass of Time.[5]
With the "Grand Rewind", the events after conquering Alamut have been undone.[5]
