Persia is the location of the first two Prince of Persia games: Prince of Persia (1989) and Prince of Persia 2: The Shadow and the Flame.

Prince of Persia[]
The palace of the Sultan of Persia is where he lives with his daughter. the palace is guarded by Palace Guards. When the sultan was away on a war, grand Vizier Jaffar took over. Young traveler found his way to the palace and fell in love with the princess. They spent time in the royal garden, but were found out by Jaffar, and the boy was thrown into the Dungeon, and locked the princess in her room[1].
Prince of Persia 2[]
Eleven days later, the Prince returned to the palace from his walk in the city, but no one recognized him. Someone looking like the prince ordered his capture, but the Prince leapt out of the palace window and escaped to the docks. Prince later returned on a magical horse, and landed on the palace tower. The prince fought Jaffar again and killed him[2].
