Orod is a character in Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown.

Biography[]

Before becoming a member of the Immortals, Orod was part of Persian Navy.[1] He often boasts about his accomplishments, which apparently include drowning the Bahamut of the Caspian Sea, crossing the hell bridge of Chinvat for a bet, and defeating Hercules. Whether these statements are true or not is unknown.

While with the Immortals, he alongside the others watched as Sargon came to challenge their leader, Vahram. Though Sargon lost, he was asked to join the Immortals.

The Lost Crown[]

Orod, alongside the other Immortals, joined the fight against the Kushan army. Together with Menolias, he helped clear the way for Sargon to reach and defeat General Uvishka.

After the battle, he is found on the roof of the palace boasting loudly that Prince Ghassan might be his son, which the others simply brush aside as a joke. When Sargon joins them, he and Menolias tease him, but also express pride in his hard won victory. The celebration is halted, however, when Radjen reports that the Prince had been kidnapped. The kidnapper turns out to be none other than General Anahita. Queen Thomyris then commands the Immortals to go to Mount Qaf and rescue her son.

Once they reach the citadel gates, Menolias urges caution, though Orod dismisses his concerns. They enter, only to find Ardashir's men long dead and decomposed, despite having reached Mount Qaf only a day after them. The gates then automatically close, trapping them all inside the Citadel. Vahram commands them to split up and find Anahita and Ghassan.

Orod does not appear for a long time until the meeting with Vahram, where the White Lion informs the Immortals that Sargon killed Ghassan and escaped with Anahita. Orod is clearly surprised that Sargon had the guts to make such a bold move. While the others argue about the future of Persia and Vahram seizing the throne, Orod is preoccupied with Sargon and asks what should be done about him. Vahram declares that Sargon cannot be allowed to interfere and must be stopped by any means necessary. Though Neith tries to protest, Orod states that its time Sargon's wings were clipped once and for all.
