During his time as the Sand Wraith, The Prince arrives in the caves as he is being chased by the Dahaka. The Mystic Caves are filled with a thick layer of fog, causing the prince to have difficulty maneuvering through. Shadows, Scavengers, and Silhouettes attempt to attack the prince while traveling here.

On page 174 of the official strategy guide, the Sacred Caves are referred to as the Mystic Caves. When earlier on pages 167, and 140 the Sacred Caves are called by its true name.[1]
