King of Basra is Prince's father alluded in Prince of Persia 2: The Shadow and the Flame.
Biography[]
King of Basra owned a magical horse who is a marble statue most of the time, but when someone from Basra bloodline sits on the saddle, the horse comes to life in form of a white stallion[1].
King of Basra had one heir, the Prince. Basra was attacked by a young nobleman assisted by the forces of darkness, and the Witch[2]. King and Queen managed to send the Prince away before the massacre. Basra was destroyed, and the King and queen killed in the throne room. King's sword was left with his body in front of the throne[3].
15 years later[2], the Prince returned, unknowing of his heritage, and picked up the King's sword. The Prince was informed of his heritage by his mother's ghost.[3].
