Metal Chain Sand Creatures are a common enemy encountered in The Sands of Time.
Background
This enemy type usually fights alongside the Harem Sand Creatures. They are weaker than the Harem Creatures, the Prince can defeat them with a few well placed blows, but they can still bring heavy a blow to the Prince. Their appearance and association with the Harem Sand Creatures may mean they were once men of the Sultan's harem before being transformed by the Sands.
These foes can be slain easily by most of the Prince's attacks. They are invulnerable to wall bounce attacks, just like the Sand Blacksmiths, so its best to vault over them and attack.
