For Honor: Blades of Persia was a limited time event for the game For Honor published by Ubisoft. The first chapter went live on March 12th 2020, and the second on March 19th 2020. The event ended on April 2th 2020[1].

Story[]

Blades of Persia: The Lost Prince

Once upon a time, there was a Prince who was the architect of his own destruction.
In his never-ending quest for redemption, he made a friend. They battled timeless warriors together...

Chapter 1 - Vikings of Sand
As they ventured to an isolated port, they clashed with two valiant foes.
"The Sands of Time corrupted their souls," the Prince explained. "We cannot save them."

Chapter 2 - Knights of Sand
Two more warriors came to attack the Prince and his friend.
"Once I retrieve all the Sands of Time, I will be able to repair the damage done," the Prince said.

Chapter 3 - Samurai of Sand
As the Prince saw two possessed Samurai coming for him and his friend, he whispered to himself:
"I will be stronger this time, I swear."

Chapter 4 - The Enemy Within
Suddenly night fell. The Prince winced. His skin darkened as the Sands of Time seeped into his veins.
"Ironic, isn't it? How I never learn... Yet I am glad to die by the hand of a friend."

Gameplay[]

The first chapter, Blades of Persia: Ruler of Time, added a new Persian themed map to the game, which is an altered version of an existing map, "The Harbor", with sand dunes instead of water and traps scattered around the stage to make it more Prince of Persia like. The soldiers on the map were also changed to resemble Sand Creatures and Sand Army. The map starts in a regular Dominion game mode, during which a sandstorm appears and The Prince arrives. The Prince is a neutral faction and attacks both teams. The Prince has various powers: teleport punch, the power to slow time, and the sand spears[2].

The second chapter, Blades of Persia: Wraith of Time, introduced the Dark Prince with a night version of the same altered "The Harbor" map[3]. Players can confront the dark Prince on the battlefield the same way they did the Prince. The Dark Prince has all the powers of the Prince, and upon defeating the Dark Prince he drops the Dagger of Time, which grants those powers to the player if they pick it up[4].

The event comes with 30 tiers of progression (which can be unlocked via playing or purchasing), with various outfits and emblems as a reward for completing them[5].

This event also gave players a choice of several Prince of Persia Themed outfits purchasable from the ingame store[6].

Blades of Persia: The Lost Prince is a weekly arcade quest where Prince is an ally to the player in both chapters[7].
