Arsalan is a supporting character in Prince of Persia: The Graphic Novel.
Biography[]
Arsalan is a dancing teacher who owns a school in 13th century Marv. Arsalan is also hired by Ali to teach her daughter Shirin to dance. He secretly taught Shirin other dances that were not befitting of a girl. One day, Ali didn't want Arsalan's teaching Shirin anymore. Before leaving, Arsalan revealed the mark on his hand and promised to meet Shirin under a tree near a well past the Western gate. But the arrest of the group he belonged to made him broke his promise. Some time later, Arsalan noticed Shirin running from the guards, and secreted her away into his school, where he explained what had happened. Later Shirin brought Ferdos and Nuri to the school and reveled Ferdos to be the survivor of the slaughtered children. This reignited Arsalan and other people's desire to overthrow the leaders as prophecysed. During the party in the palace, they sneaked in through the cave system in the wells. They captured the leaders, and demanded them to give up their power. However a horde of Mongols, lead by Great Khan reached the gates at the same time and demanded the surrender of the city. Knowing they don't have power to fight anyone, Arsalan and others left. The Mongols were let into the city where the slaughtered anyone who they saw. The people who survived joined Arsalan and others in the Old Palace where Ferdos and Shirin sat on the crumbling thrones.[1]
