Ali is a supporting character in Prince of Persia: The Graphic Novel.

Biography[]

During 13th century A.D. Ali is member of the committee for the Governor of Marv. He is also known for throwing illustrious parties every night. Ali was also part of the decision to have all the boy children born on the prophecysed day taken and killed.[1]

Ali has a daughter, Shirin, whom he has learn dancing so that she may entertain him and his guests at the parties. When the water was released to common folk, Ali suspected the water guardian Nuri and wanted to get rid of him, but the Governor told that Nuri has knowledge of the water canals others do not. Ali then conceded to have him followed and suggested to arrest all suspicious people. Ali also kept an eye on the fashion, and wanted the guards to have new uniforms. The Governor was curious about his parties, and suggested to have one in the palace. During the public tongue cutting, Ali noticed his runaway daughter in the crowd and had her delivered to him. But she ran away again. While Ali was enjoying the party he organized at the Prince's palace. The common people attacked and took the Governor and the Committee hostage and wanted them to abdicate. One of the attackers was Ali's own daughter. But during the attack, the Great Khan also attacked the city walls and demanded Marv to surrender. The common folk know they were outmatched and escaped releasing the rulers. The Governor surrendered to the Mongols, but they didn't keep their word and killed all the rulers, Ali included, when the gates were open.[1]
