Am I the only one who feels like there should be more significance to this place with the magic water? It is alluded to in both Forgotten Sands and T2T. The prince forgets about it, or his memory of it is at least obscured, every time he visits, despite his having a sand of time artifact. Do we have any evidence as to what this place IS?

If you've played the Wii version of Forgotten Sands, you may have more information about this magical realm. I believe that the places shown in Sands of Time and Forgotten Sands on the Wii are part of the same place. It should be noted to fans of the series that The Forgotten Sands is a different game and story on each platform (except PS3 and X Box 360). My guess is that this is a realm where only magical or spiritual beings exist and the Prince is somehow watched over by some of these spirits (and led to the water of life in Sands of Time). I will have to look at the manual for the Sands of Time about those fountains and play the Wii Sands of Time. If you haven't played it, it is good. Not 2003 Game of the Year (Sands of Time), but it is good. Great question.
